Oil-Cooled Power Transformers, Type NOM
Single-phase oil-cooled voltage transformers, type NOM.
Single-phase oil-cooled voltage transformers, type NOM, are used together with measuring gauges as well as in protection and signaling circuits of electrical systems with the rated voltage ranging from 6 to 35 kV inclusive. Transformers are large-scale converters and are used to produce measurement information signals for electrical measuring gauges as well as protection and signaling systems in networks with insulated neutral.
Transformers operate in temperate or tropical climates. Transformers, type NOM-6 and NOM-10, comply with the requirements for operation in seismic conditions up to 7 points, scale MSK-64.
Transformers consist of a magnetic core made of electrical steel plates, windings with the required insulation and located in the tank filled with transformer oil. Inputs for primary and secondary windings are located on the tank lid. Voltage transformers, type NOM-35, have an oil conservator located on the high-voltage entrance bushings of the primary winding.
All other types of transformers do not have oil conservators; the oil level in them must be 15-20 mm below the tank lid.
Operating requirements:
The maximum altitude is 1000 m. The ambient temperature ranges from -40 to +40°С
For transformers designed for tropical climates, the ambient temperature ranges from -10 to +50°С at the annual average temperature equal to 27°С, at the relative humidity of 95% at the temperature of 35°С and at the altitude not more than 1000 m.
