Three-phase dry-type transformers, type TSZ

TSZ-type transformers are used in package transformer substations, type KTP, 2KTP, and BKTP, in built-in transformer substations with capacity ranging from 16 kVA to 2500 kVA, and with voltage of 10 (6) / 0.4 kV, and are used to convert electrical energy in electric power networks and in networks for electrical energy consumers.

TSZ transformers with type of windings that are show in the picture below have advantages over other types of transformers: 

- they can operate in systems that are subject to lightning impulse voltage and switching voltage;
- they have low noise level;
- they have high resistance to mechanical stress that occurs in the sort circuit mode;
- they are absolutely environmentally and fire-risk safe.

TSZ transformers can be installed in places that require enhanced safety (underground, mines, movie theaters, residential and public buildings), in areas with strict requirements to environmental protection (intake stations, sport facilities, and resort areas), at manufacturing facilities, smelters, chemical facilities, electric power plants in the vicinity of load centers, thus, providing the possibility to cut expenses related to construction of substations, saving expenses on distribution buses and low-voltage cables, reducing electrical energy losses.

 Ambient air is the main insulating and cooling medium for TSZ transformers. HV and LV entrance bushings are located on the lid and allow for cable and bus connection. Lifting bars are used to lift transformers.
